Shark Metals is operated by Automation Research Company, LLC. These terms apply when you use the site or send a quote request through it. If you do not agree to them, do not use the site.
The service
The quote pages take requests for quotes on metal and pass them to metal suppliers and service centers that may quote them, as the privacy notice describes. Sending a request is free and does not oblige you to buy anything. A quote comes from the supplier that sends it, and that supplier’s terms govern any order placed from it.
What you send
Send accurate information about a real order, and only information you have the right to share. Do not send another person’s details without their permission. Do not use the form for advertising, or to send requests in bulk.
Information on the site
The quote pages give general information about how metal is specified and ordered, and the price tracker shows published price series, which are not quotes. Specifications, grades and sizes for your work come from your drawings and the person who designed the work. Prices and lead times come only from a supplier’s written quote.
Availability and liability
Shark Metals provides the site as is and does not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that any supplier will quote a request. To the extent the law allows, Shark Metals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that arise from using the site or from dealing with a supplier.
Changes to these terms
Shark Metals may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
